BARBARA 

GOLDSTEIN

Barbara earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Johns Hopkins in 2002, and her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with High Honors from Smith College in 1981. She has held positions with increasing levels of responsibility at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) since 1992, developing and managing the Technologies for the Integration of Manufacturing Applications (TIMA) focused program that awarded and oversaw an approximate $150 million technology portfolio. 

 

She served as Technical Advisor on Electronic Commerce to the Undersecretary of Technology and as Associate Director of the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory (which provided the basis for all electrical measurements in the U.S.). She is currently the Senior Scientific Advisor to the largest laboratory within NIST, where she helps plan, manage, and promote a $200 million suite of measurement service and science programs.

 

Her experience as a tutor spans the last 20 years, during which she has tutored elementary through college-level math and science courses, and taught a semester of math at the American High School in Israel.
